Grenadine Pink · Deep Indigo

A coral flower dropped on wet slate at dusk. The pink keeps all its warmth while the indigo has nearly gone over into night.

Almost everything here turns on the difference in light. The coral is warm and fairly bright, the indigo so dark it barely declares its colour, and against that near-blackness the pink gains a glow it would not have alone. A faint blue still alive in the dark answers the warm note from a great distance.
