Embers and the dark around them, a burnt red sinking into the blue-black of night.

Both colours lie very low in value, one a smouldering red-brown, the other an indigo close to black. Held so deep, they read almost as a single darkness with a warm and a cool side to it. A faint life of blue in the indigo keeps the pair from going wholly to shadow.
