A red earthen jar standing before a pale, almost icy sky.

Warm red and cool blue lie close to opposite on the wheel, and the blue has been thinned nearly to white while the red keeps its body. The wide gap in value lets the red advance and the sky hang behind it, and so faint a blue takes no harm from so warm a neighbour.
