Corinthian Pink · Venice Green · Light Mauve

A garden seen through gauze, soft rose and a cool leaf-green with the violet of distance behind them, every colour held at the same low pitch.

Three hues stand well apart around the wheel, yet they hold together because none is allowed to grow loud, each one lifted and slightly greyed. The green sits across from the rose and gives the eye its rest, while the mauve works as a bridge, carrying red toward the pink and blue toward the green.
